2.0 ACHIEVEMENT RECORDED UNDER THE
ON-GOING PROGRAMMES
2.1 PRESIDENTIAL INITIATIVE ON RICE
PRODUCTION
The objective of the programme is to
increase rice production to meet
local demand and export. Under the
scheme, Federal Government allocated
a total of 3,500 Rice-Boxes
(R-BOXES) for distribution to
farmers in Kogi State at 50%
subsidy. The State Government under
the leadership of His Excellency Alh.
Ibrahim Idris, the Executive
Governor of the State paid the 50%
balance in addition to 3,500 bags of
fertilizers amounting to N18million
